Boulder, Colorado--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acroname, Inc. — Today, Acroname, located in Boulder, Colorado, launched the world's first industrial and programmable USB Type-C Hubs, power transmission analyzers and testers. It is called USBHub3c, designed for mobile device testing laboratory, USB-PD verification test, USB-C device production test, terminal battery charging and testing dual role data (DRD) and dual role power supply (DRP) devices.

Based on Acroname's successful industrial and programmable USB hub series, USBHub3c is fully programmable, so engineers can control USB-PD profiles, real-time measurements and USB connections. It is the only USB-C hub with AnyPort™, which allows all ports to be fully functional and support 100W upstream (UFP) or downstream (DFP) ports.

"We built Acroname USBHub3c into the most powerful and reliable USB hub in the world. Acroname CEO Justin Gregg said: "Then we adopted advanced power analyzers and debugging and verification tools. "It is optimized for the manufacturing and verification environment. It is the perfect solution to alleviate overcharging in large mobile device testing laboratories. "

In 2015, Acroname invented the concept of programmable USB hubs and successfully launched a series of USB hubs used by some of the largest technology companies in the world. Based on past innovations, the USBHub3c port can be independently enabled and disabled, and each functional signal group can be independently controlled. Each port can also dynamically configure upstream or downstream data at speeds up to 10Gbps, and USBHub3c will also report the established link speed.

The powerful and user-programmable power budget system makes USBHub3c the only bus-powered USB hub that supports PD power. The power budget system also allows engineers to fine-tune the power supply when connected to a high-current receiving device. USBHub3c has the ability to automatically "flip" cables through manual interaction, edit USB-PD Power Data Objects (PDO), and override voltage and current limits. All programmable functions are controlled through simple and powerful APIs in Python, C, C, .Net and LabVIEW®.

"Our vision is to create a USB-C hub that makes automated testing easier, predictable, safer, and cheaper than anything on the market," Gregg said. "Our talented engineering team has achieved success. For test engineers who use USB-C devices, life has become easier."
