I have checked the Twelve South StayGo USB-C hub before and found it to be excellent. Although it is not cheap, it has all the ports I might need, and it has been 100% reliable since I first reviewed it.
This is sold for iPad or MacBook. However, there is no reason why this does not work on other devices, this is how I tested it on Windows and Android.
The hub is working well. When you commute, you can easily charge your device, and you can also get a 3.5 mm headphone port. The width and depth of the hub itself are roughly the same as my phone. However, not all Android phones can recognize the headset. It does work on my Huawei P30 Pro, P40 Pro and OPPO Find X3 Neo.
I also use it with my Huawei Matebook 13, which only has a USB-C port. With this, I can connect a second monitor and keyboard.
When the external hard disk CrystalDisk was used for testing, the transfer speed of the USB-A port reached 42.52 MB/s.
When you cannot install the hub directly to the iPad or computer, the StayGo connection cable allows you to use it flexibly. The only problem here is that its cable is very long, and the full-size StayGo USB-C hub has a small flex cable built-in. It would be great if it had a second shorter cable to complement its portability.

There are many alternatives, many of which are cheaper, while many others are more expensive.
On the App website, you have the Satechi Aluminum USB-C Multiport Pro Adapter, which has better connectivity, but is larger and more expensive at £64.95. Or, the Belkin USB-C to HDMI adapter, which only provides one port, is priced at £49.95.
The Anker USB C hub for iPad Pro is well received. It is similar in appearance and has SD and microSD card readers, but lacks an extension cable. This is only £39.99
There is also the Baseus iPad Pro adapter, which has the same connection method as Anker, but with a slightly different design. It is priced at £42.49 –
